Late Re-Cap of My Fireworks Cookies!

Well, I'm a little lot late on this post but hey, better late than never right? So I tried out the wonderful cookie recipe I found on the ever-intriguing Pinterest for fireworks cookies. Let me tell you, SO easy even for a novice baker like myself! I followed the exact recipe found here. Her recipe is practically fool-proof, but I would have added a few more sprinkles has I had some leftover. My husband (a huge sweets lover) loved them, and they were quite the hit in Highlands during our stay there for July 4th! See below for my version vs. the Pinterest version.

It's  been quite some time since I last did a blog post, but reading others' always inspires me to try and be better at blogging! Tomorrow we're heading to Highlands to celebrate the 4th of July and my father-in-law has asked me to bring an appetizer and something sweet for the cookout on Thursday. So, while browsing Pinterest and Google images I found a sweet little recipe for "Firecracker Cookies".  It seems pretty simple and the results look like they will be super cute. I'll try to do a follow-up post with the recipe and how mine actually turned out vs. the pinterest version!
